NxtGen is:

For manufacturers of retrofit and original equipment engines and emission reduction systems, NxtGen has developed syngas systems that enable simpler, lower-cost solutions that avoid the costs and hassles of urea-scr or DPF systems that plug up because of low operating temperatures. Our first products are retrofit diesel emission reduction systems for medium-duty and light duty vehicles.
The syngas DPF system initiates and sustains regeneration at
200°C for vehicles operating in city stop/start traffic or with low temperature duty cycles. This system will be available for purchase in Q4 2009.
Our syngas DPF+LNT system provides one integrated solution for particulate matter and NOx emission reduction which is simple, reliable and operates without driver intervention. This system will enter field trials in 2009 and will be available for purchase in 2010.
NxtGen is developing syngas systems for gasoline engines that significantly reduce GHG emissions and increase fuel economy.

Our systems are modular and enable engine and aftertreatment manufacturers to configure multiple products with a standard set of components thus reducing manufacturing and support costs. Our initial systems are for on-road vehicles. We are developing syngas systems for automobiles, off-highway vehicles, TRUs and other commercial/industrial equipment.
